itch.io opening??


i've never posted anything on itch so this is daunting... ;w;

so, current state of the game, for posterity:

  • character creation menus are roughed out, but still need more finished assets (especially for the little sprite) and the palettes need cleaning up
  • code things related to exporting your character and whatnot should be added very soon
  • gameplay things after character creation have been roughly planned on paper but not implemented at all yet
  • NPC designs range from a handful of mostly finished designs that might get tweaked a little during development, to designs that haven't been started yet at all

once the first two things are in a presentable state i'm hoping to compile a small first demo!

and if anyone is interested, later on i'm planning on publishing short chunks of code with explanations, free-to-use for anyone interested in specific bits of implementation! and a short time after a first finished release, i'll be releasing the entire engine source code open-source. the game is made using the kivy framework, but everything past that is hand-coded in python with love and tears.
